Multicultural LGBTQIA+ Directory and Rainbow Cultures 

In 2022, CALD SHAG initiated a partnership with ACON, Advance Diversity Services, ANTRA ( the Australia & New Zealand Tongzhi Rainbow Alliance), and ConversAsians/SocialisAsians to support the printing and dissemination of the Rainbow Cultures Directory. 

Originally based on the Multicultural LGBTIQA+ Support Directory produced by Advance Diversity Services (ADS), Rainbow Cultures is an online directory of groups and services for Multicultural LGBTQIA+ communities in New South Wales, and more broadly across Australia. It includes multicultural and multilingual LGBTQIA+ organisations, groups, and services that cater to, or are welcoming of, people from CALD communities. 

Through a shared goal of enhancing access to health services for LGBTQIA+ people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds across NSW, CALD SHAG supported the printing of physical copies of the directory for use across community and health services. These directories are now available in sexual health clinics and multicultural health services across metropolitan Sydney and continue to pop up at LGBTIQ+ events across Greater Sydney.
