(2024) - When Worlds Collide

The 2024 When Worlds Collide event offered a warm and welcoming space for gay international students in Sydney. The evening began with food, drinks and an Acknowledgement of Country, followed by short introductions from partner organisations.
Students took part in a speed‑friending activity, had a break with some food, and joined a lively Kahoot trivia session with prize giveaways. The night wrapped up with brief evaluations and closing remarks.
The event created a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment where students could socialise, meet new people, and learn about local services that support their health and wellbeing.
(2019) - When Worlds Collide

The 2019 When Worlds Collide event offered a fun evening for gay international students in Sydney. It was designed to help students meet new people, feel more at home and learn about support available in the community.
The program included a Welcome to Country, short introductions from community partners and interactive activities like speed‑friending, trivia and a panel discussion where international students shared their experiences of settling in Sydney.
Guests enjoyed food, drinks, entertainment and plenty of chances to connect with local services. The night wrapped up with quick evaluations and prize draws.
The event created a safe and inclusive space for students to build confidence, meet peers, and strengthen their connection to the LGBTQI+ community.
