• Middle East Social 

Service Provision:  

This is a peer-led social group for LGBTI Middle Eastern identifying people to share their lived experiences and meet other people. They meet on the last Saturday of each month in Sydney in a social setting.

• Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) 

Service Provision:  

They are a peer-led community organisation run by and for sex workers in NSW, providing holistic health support, sexual health education and peer support to current and former sex workers across diverse settings. They focus on HIV, STI and hepatitis C prevention, outreach, safer sex practices, and workplace health and safety.

• Sydney Queer Muslims 

Service Provision:  

They are a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing social support, education and resources to individuals and families in NSW. The organisation is made up of a diverse range of volunteers, united by the same faith. They aspire to support and advocate for people of diverse sexualities, genders, and intersex status to reconcile their sexual identity with their faith.

• ACON  

Service Provision:  

ACON is New South Wales' leading HIV and LGBTQ+ health organisation. They promote, prioritise and support community health, inclusion, and HIV responses for people of diverse sexualities and genders.

• ACON Westie / ACON Greater Western Sydney 

Service Provision:  

ACON Westie is ACON’s new platform dedicated to all things LGBTQ+ in Western Sydney, showcasing feature stories, cultures, events, and support from the area. If you are an LGBTQ+ person from Fairfield, Bankstown, Penrith, Auburn, Campbelltown, Blacktown, Liverpool, Parramatta or any suburbs in between, ACON Westie is place for you!

• Bobby Goldsmith Foundation (BGF) 

Service Provision:  

They are Australia’s longest-running HIV charity, founded in 1984. Their support extends to all people, especially those living with HIV, the broader LGBTQIA+ community and anyone seeking progressive, supportive care.

• Family Planning Australia 

Service Provision:  

 They provide comprehensive reproductive and sexual health support, including contraception, pregnancy options, STI management and education for people of all ages and backgrounds.

• Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service (MHAHS) 

Service Provision:  

They support people from diverse cultural and language backgrounds across New South Wales to address HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and sexual health by working closely with communities and health services to reduce the impacts of HIV and viral hepatitis. Their service provides multilingual programs, culturally tailored health education and support to improve access to health care, along with multilingual media campaigns and partnerships with community organisations. Through this work, MHAHS empowers communities with the knowledge and tools to understand health information and navigate the health care system with confidence.

• Positive Life NSW 

Service Provision:  

They are the largest peer-led and representative body of those living with and affected by HIV. Their aim is to eliminate prejudice, isolation, stigma, and discrimination. The service provides information, targeted referrals and advocates to change systems and practices that discriminate against people living with HIV (PLHIV), our partners, friends, family and carers in NSW.

• Sexual Health Infolink 

Service Provision:  

They are a state-wide, nurse-led NSW health service that provides evidence-based information on all aspects of HIV, STI and sexual health to the general public and specialist support for health professionals.

• Women Partners of Men who have Sex with Men  

Service Provision:  

They are a NSW based service that offers individual counselling, support groups and health information for all women whose male partners are men who have sex with other men or have come out as gay or bisexual.

• Centre for Social Research in Health (UNSW) 

Service Provision:  

They undertake and promote research in health that informs and strengthens knowledge, policy, and practice. Projects include the GBQ+ Community Periodic Survey, National MSM Study, YouMe&HIV and Crystals, Pleasures and Sex between Men.

Service Provision: 

They help students to engage with and contribute to important decisions about treatment, patient care and disease prevention, while remaining actively involved in frontline healthcare and research that enhances patient experiences and drives positive changes in health policy.

• University of NSW, The Kirby Institute 

Service Provision: 

Their multidisciplinary research on the transmission and prevention of HIV and other sexually transmissible infections, working in partnership with affected communities, particularly gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men, and people living with HIV across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Their program focuses on biomedical, behavioural, and social approaches to prevention, health outcomes, and infection-related conditions.

Service provision:  

Their research program seeks to work inclusively with those from marginalized populations and communities (including refugees, those who are homeless, LGBTIQA+ and those from multicultural communities) to help improve their health and health care.

• Western Sydney University, School of Medicine  

They believe that advances in medicine rely on advances in knowledge. Their research activities include working in laboratories at a molecular level, improving educational practice with medical students, working with patients in outpatient clinics at local hospitals, and working with Aboriginal medical services in rural and remote areas.

Local Health Districts:

Each NSW Local Health District has a dedicated team that provides strategic leadership in sexual health. These teams guide local priorities, strengthen partnerships, and align their work with statewide NSW Health strategies. Their work includes sexual health education and promotion, developing and delivering programs, supporting staff capacity building, leading coordinated responses, and improving services in partnership with clinical teams. 

Local Health District teams adapt their approach to the communities they serve. They work differently across diverse demographics to ensure that programs, partnerships and engagement activities are culturally appropriate, accessible, and responsive to local needs.
